Job Summary:
Our client, a dynamic international medical communications agency with a broad pharmaceutical client list, is seeking an experienced Account Director to join their client service team and play a key role in providing strategic direction to key accounts and projects.

Requirements:

This role entails providing strategic counsel to the client, and using your creative vision to devise and implement unique solutions and tactics.


Develop strong relationships with key clients – obtain regular feedback and be responsible for client satisfaction.


Ensure the delivery of projects to agreed specification and quality within budget and timescale.


Financial accountability for allocated projects closely monitoring profitability.


Direct team on all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing.


Ensure the strategic medical/marketing development of all projects.


Work on business development making a discernible contribution to attracting and retaining new business and expanding existing business.


Coach and mentor team members.


Be involved in the recruitment and selection for the project team.


Engender team spirit.


Deputise for the Director Client Services where appropriate.




Desirable requirements:


Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, marketing or other relevant area


Experience in all aspects of financial project management


Previous experience of operating in senior account/project management role

preferably in an international medical communications agency


Experience of pharmaceutical strategic marketing programmes


Well-developed people management skills and experience in managing a team


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
