Job Summary:
Our client has a superb opportunity for a Team Leader, Medical / Scientific Services, to lead and manage a small experienced London based team in the delivery of medical education and communication projects.

Requirements:

Our client is a world-leading, full-service International healthcare communications agency, working for a number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, creating and delivering strategic communications programmes such as ethical publication planning, key opinion leaders development, medical education programmes, event management and new media campaigns.


The role involves managing the delivery of projects in accordance to the brief, to project schedule and within budget - Develop education and communication programmes and/or proposals that contribute to ongoing account development and /or new business development.


The successful candidate will take line management responsibility for the team members and work closely with senior members to ensure performance, staff development and resource planning – Mentor team and facilitate ongoing training - Manage, commission and brief freelancers.


The Team Leader will provide consultancy advice in areas of expertise within and across departments - Develop education and communications programmes that contribute to ongoing account growth.


Establish and develop relationships with pharmaceutical and healthcare professionals - Utilise experience to assist with new business development proposals and pitches.




Highly desirable requirements:


Education to degree level or higher in a biomedical science

Scientific/medical writing and ability to assure high quality of medical communications output

Organisational and budgetary control skills

Team management experience in a medical communications agency environment

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
