Job Summary:
A dynamic Medical Education agency based in Oxford is looking for an Editorial Director to manage its Editorial Team. This is a very diverse and exciting role, and an excellent opportunity for a professional with commitment, experience and drive to work with global pharmaceutical companies.

Requirements:

The Editorial Director will be responsible for:



  • Driving the Editorial Project Management Team to maximise their team potential.

  • Working closely with the Account Team Members.

  • Liaising with Pharmaceutical Clients.

  • Ensuring content quality of medical writing output meets or exceeds Clients' communication requirements.

  • Reviewing the content of materials produced in house for scientific accuracy and meeting strategic objectives.

  • Managing medical writing output to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of programmes.

  • Leading the strategic development and implementation of publication plans.

  • Developing project proposals, including provision of cost estimates.

  • Commissioning, editing, and managing web content from specialist authors and medical writers in a range of therapy areas, including opinion pieces, case studies, conference reports and editorials.

  • Advisory Board Management, including organisation and administration of meetings.

  • Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues, clients, external authors and Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Acting as in-house scientific expert for allocated therapeutic areas.

  • Identifying trends in industry and agency environment.

  • Strategic leadership: providing insight and direction to achieve company and client goals.
