Job Summary:
Our client has a great opportunity for a Medical Director to join their medical communications team and take a leading role in providing high quality medical input to major healthcare communications programmes.

Our client is a world-leading, full-service International healthcare communications agency based in the London region and working for a number of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies producing publications, events and new media campaigns.


Requirements:

The Medical Director will provide in depth medical information for planning such campaigns, develop medical content and work with writers and editors and other members of staff for the delivery of medical communications programmes.


The role involves publication planning and the ability to promote and sell concepts to pharmaceutical companies.


Close involvement in organic growth of accounts and new business development will be an integral part of this position, as will be writing and contributing to proposals and to the medical content of a number of medical communications materials.


Mentor and develop Writers ensuring excellence in project delivery across the healthcare communication offering.


Provide strategic input into communications campaigns


Experience:

 


Scientific degree (PhDs preferred).

Ideally experience within both a medical communications agency (and a medical writing background), plus experience on the pharmaceutical side in medical affairs or similar. However, candidates with either of the above backgrounds will be considered as long as possessing considerable experience of developing medical content during their career.
