Job Summary:
Our client, a dynamic International medical communications agency, is seeking an Editorial Team Leader to support a growing editorial team and to lead key therapeutic areas. Our client works with global pharmaceutical companies delivering tailored strategic medical communications programmes.

Requirements:

As Editorial Team Leader you will be responsible for the operational and line management of an editorial team, training your editorial team, identifying needs and coordinating development programmes. You will be working closely with the Managing Editor, Directors and client services to match resource requirements to programme needs.


You will be acting as the primary editorial contact on projects and programmes of work and provide medical and scientific advice, expertise and consultancy in areas of main strength both internally and with clients.


Your responsibilities will include researching, writing, editing and proof copying for a full range of educational materials and target audiences


Contribute proactively to new business development for existing and new clients and assist in the development of proposals.


Skills and experience:

3 to 5 years medical communications agency experience is required for this role including strategic publications experience, medical writing, pitching and broad therapeutic expertise.


Manage and mentor a 2 to 5 person team


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Education to PhD level in life or physical sciences


The company offers a creative and dynamic working environment and a salary in the range of £35-55k, plus excellent benefits (including pension plan, PHI and Life cover), 25 days holidays plus bank holidays.
