Job Summary:
Leading medical communications agency has a superb opportunity for a Medical Writing Team Leader, with medical writing experience and line management skills, to lead a team of 4 to 5 medical writers in the production of high-quality strategic communications programmes and materials.

Requirements:

The Medical Writing Team Leader will be responsible for

- Taking overall responsibility for the quality of communication programmes and written materials produced by the medical writing team and providing direction and support for the team.

- Managing day-to-day workflow ensuring efficient, cost-effective and timely delivery of project work.

- Providing high-level scientific and strategic direction to support existing projects and new business activities.

- Providing therapy area advice/consultancy in area of expertise both internally and externally.

- Actively contributing to client/opinion leader meetings; developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients/opinion leaders and contributing to new business proposals including presenting pitches.

Skills / Experience:

Experience as a Medical Writer in a medical communications agency with extensive experience in the production of a wide range of medical communications materials

Excellent project/time management and organizational skills

Line management experience of medical writers

Creativity and ability to think strategically

Commercial awareness

Education to at least degree level in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences

The agency offers an excellent salary ranging £46-60k (depending on experience and with the upper end of the salary range needing to have significant experience in managing writing teams) plus benefits.
